Catching up....finally

Okay now I can start posting again. I haven't posted anything since Christmas Eve!!! Amazing huh?!?! I don't have any pics right now but I'll post them later.

I got a whole bunch of cake decorating stuff!!! it's really cool (for those who don't know I really like to bake) I got icing mix and those tops to go on your icing bags so you can make different designs....I got neon food coloring for the icing. Now get this....lol that spatula thing that I was talking about WAS a spatula!!!! my mom didn't want me to know so she said it wasn't!!! lol it's a spatula that smooths out cakes so you don't have to use a knife!! lol and I got a really cool dessert cooking book it has a picture for every recipe! it looks SO good!! and I got a puzzle (300 piece) and two wii games!! they are so fun!! it's called "cooking mama" (i don't really like the name) but the game is SO fun I have it on my ds and that on is really fun too. I got earrings. and my Grandma made me a GREEN shall!!! it's really pretty! (and if you don't know my favorite color is green) I got scrap-booking stuff and ummmm oh yeah and this movie that's called "Touched by an Angel, I watched the first two episodes and I like them a lot!! And then I got some little stuff like chocolate and stuff :) We went to two Christmas parties with my fam. One two my Grandma and one to my Aunt and Uncle's. So I have had a REALLY fun Christmas!!! :)

We signed up to be members of the YMCA and my mom decided a few weeks ago that I was gonna be on the swim team. Before, a long time a go I think it was last year...okay maybe not a LONG time ago but it wasn't so close to now either.... when I took swimming lessons I loved the idea but now when it started to get closer that I wasn't so sure. so ever since my mom told my I was going to try out for the swim team, I got really nervous just thinking about it...then when the Y opened I got REALLY nervous and started asking and telling my mom " I don't want to be on the swim team!!" or "Mom, I'm scared, I'm nervous" lol then We went to the Y and I did the try out. when i got there I was the only girl there except for the coach....that made my even worse. But when I got into the water and started to do it I loved it!! it was so tiring though....she worked us hard!! but it was really fun...and now I wonder why I was even nervous. lol

And then....my dad asked me to cut his hair!!! I did NOT want to do that! I totally messed up his hair! He just laughed but still!! I feel TERRIBLE!!! :( He is going to ask my mom to even it out when she wakes up from her nap.... :( I feel really bad!!

Just posting...about Christmas

Me and my brother Anthony were looking our Presents under the Christmas tree and I got this present that looks like a spatula but my mom said it isn't.....I have no idea what it is, it looks really weird. lol
I am SO excited for Christmas!!! I can't believe that there are only 3 days left! it's amazing!! it came so fast! I started counting the days until Christmas since there were like 43 days....now only 3! I thought then that 43 was just a little, well it is compared to 365 but, compared to 3! BIG difference! lol
Well maybe I should talk about something else instead of Christmas.....okay maybe not. I don't really have anything else going on. lol I probably do I'm just not thinking about it because of Christmas! lol
Well now that were on the subject, do you usually get your pets stuff for Christmas? we always do, Me and my sister Got signed to Oliver, our cat, we got him this play thing that he can play in. He is still a kitten so he still likes to play. Our other cat, Chester, she didn't play when she got bigger... all she ever thought about was she wanted to go outside, and get away from us...lol we weren't very good cat owners when we had Chester. We tortured the poor cat....I wish we wouldn't have though. Anyway, that's what we got Oliver. For Biscuit we got a bag of pig ears....it's weird though, the bag came with THREE pig ears....shouldn't it come with two or four because now there is a one-eared pig out there somewhere....sad.
I won't tell you what I got for the rest of the fam because my family reads my blog and I don't want them to know. lol I'll tell you the 25 or 26 of December. (most likely the 26 though)

Okay so I am doing this "over all day" thing and what happened to it? Well I'll tell you what happened to it....Christmas. A little time. . . . .

I have a little time to post a comment right now! I have been SO busy! Christmas is in 5 almost 4 days and I just don't have any time to do anything on the computer! thanks for being patient with me! Samarah is making me icons for my blog! isn't that nice of her!?!? Well don't expect much posts from me until January 2, lol Okay I will post in between then but not very often! lol

I can't believe that Christmas came so fast! it was like 26 days and then BOOM!
"oh wow! only 5 days until Christmas!!" lol

Unbelievable!!! Well it is believable, because it's here but it came so fast!! :) I guess that's a good thing so I don't lay around waiting for the day to be over so I can say there is one more day closer to Christmas! :)So I would rather have it be really fast then really slow....still it did seem a little too fast...I don't know! lol

I am so sorry for not going on lately...

I am so so sorry! I have been SO busy and I just got back from my home-school group sleep over so I haven't been here the past 2 days! I had a lot of fun! :) I am going to do my "Christmas Countdown" here so here is today's:

I went to bed at like 4:00 in the morning last night!!!! we went "in" bed at like 2:00 and we put a movie called "Little Women" and so I went to sleep for a little bit but woke up and kinda got a little distracted with the movie so I didn't fall asleep "for good" until 4:00 lol I am really tired!! I got out of bed at 11:00! Over all it was really fun!!!

I think I skipped a day for my countdown ... I think there are 15 but maybe 14 lol I don't know! I'll Just say there are 15 Today My friend is SUPPOSED to come over, but I'm not sure if that'll happen because of the snow storm, We have a snow day today again!! lol Okay I'm going to tell you about yesterday because I didn't have time to do it yesterday and you'll see why! =)

I woke up as usual and ate breakfast, then I sat down with our "family" laptop and checked all my stuff. Then I did my chores and then we (as in my siblings) went outside. Then my cousin came over and we made Christmas Cookies! That was fun! we made a really BIG mess! lol and then my cousin and my sister went outside and I don't really remember what I did after that...lol I think I just "hung out" lol =) Then we had Dinner, baked chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy peas and biscuits. =) It was good except for the chicken (I don't favor chicken any kind really) Anyway then my and my sister cleaned the kitchen (we have to clean the kitchen every day for every meal. My brother and my other sister do the laundry) Then we played some games (like hangman) and then we watched "Eloise at Christmastime" And when I went on here it was right before the movie and it was about 8:30 maybe and then we went to bed (after the movie) That was my day! lol

Well today I got up and right away I ate breakfast (just so you know I am not going to be as detailed) and did my chores and I actually started my school work at 9:00!! and finished at 11:40!! that is like SO RARE! lol anyway I then ate lunch and kinda hung out, and then my Dad got home and he made Dinner and ummm we cleaned our house and went outside!! and here I am! I gotta go now!

This is the last night of Biggest Loser and it is starting right now! Yikes!

New post schedule

Every night (the latest I can) I will post about my day, So the next morning (unless you read it the night that I post it) you can see what I did yesterday. :)

This morning I woke up, sat on the couch and looked at the Christmas tree (which reminds me that I need to take pictures of it and post it on here) Anyway, then, I got up and ate breakfast, Cereal to be exact, Honey comb cereal to be more exact. Then I had to do my chores, I had to feed the animals, get dressed, brush teeth/hair, (just so you know this isn't in order I switch it all the time) do Quite Time, clean room and make bed. Then I prepared to do school. By this time it was 11:30 (that is NOT a good start) I go on my email and because I had to ask my mom if we are doing regular school today, she said yes, then either she gets on and talks to me or I get on and talk to her either way I started to chat on the computer with Samarah. By the time we were done I went out into the living room and my mom asked me about my friend coming over and so I called her and then we got into a conversation and by then I think it was 12:30 and then....no wait lol I talked to my friend and THEN I chatted with Samarah then I ate lunch and then my mom told me that her Friend was coming over and I'm like "now I'll never get school done!" (usually I get school done my 2:00 or 3:00 maybe sooner) but it was like almost 1:30! so my mom said not to worry about school today! :) I was happy about that! Then I get back on with Samarah and we talk for a few min. Then my mom's friend came over and we chatted and then I had to take a shower (it was 2:45 maybe?) So I took a shower and then I had go baby-sit. I got over there and I made them Dinner (I ate too) and we played and colored (whatever they wanted to do) then we watched a movie then we kinda "hung out" until there parents got home. I got back home and got on here to check my email, my blog, and Samarah's blog. :)

Over all I think it was a pretty good day!

Just posting...

We have been really busy today and the past few days. Today we went to our airport and packed presents for a place that keeps kids. It was fun and a neat experience. :)

We didn't end up doing the Christmas tree today, we are going to do it tomorrow after church! that will be fun. :D We are going shopping tonight and and we are getting stuff for the Christmas decorating tomorrow. My friend is coming over Thursday, and we are making Christmas cookies. I haven't used a cookie cutter in years! The last time I think was years ago and my Grandma would have and tradition of making ginger bread men cookies and decorate them. I haven't done that in SO long! So this will be fun doing something like that again. The cookies and sugar cookies and we are using red and green sprinkles! I am excited for that! :D

Well I have to get ready to go shopping!

CHRISTMAS COUNT DOWN

From today I am going to start a "CHRISTMAS COUNT DOWN" So each day I will (in big letters) put "There is so-and-so many days until Christmas" so here it is:

THERE IS 26 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!

I am doing this so I can be reminded that I need to do my Christmas shopping (or Christmas making) BEFORE Christmas. And I will get more excited for it. :)

Just as "Samarah" said every time I think of Christmas, it puts a smile to my face! :)

Settling down

Phew! I am finally ready to just have a normal life again! with all my family coming up here and Thanksgiving! I am so glad for it to be back to normal!

My Dad came up with this really great idea! He said that since (as you know) my Mom is having a baby, we definitely won't have enough room for us all...we don't have enough room for just us! So, my Dad had this idea that we could make a room down in the garage! It would be bigger than my Mom and Dad's room and me and my brother Anthony would share it! So then the new baby would have our old room. We would paint it and put carpet and put up dry wall! Oh! I am soooo excited! I was hoping that my dad would put a dry wall up to split the room but it wouldn't work.

Anyway, I asked my mom's friend (she is good with colors and did a whole blog post on colors and what moods they bring in a room I am going to post that on here so you all can see!) My dad thought about putting a stand up shower in there and it already has a sink and stuff, I'm not sure that we would do but, maybe only one of us would go down there not sure...

Here is the color/mood thing:

RED- Makes you feel hungry, a stimulate, raises blood pressure, produces feeling of anger, and raises energy levels, tends to draw people together and stimulate conversations- not the best choice for bedrooms, but works great in moderation in a dining room or a kitchen.

Yellow- Also a simulate color. It often makes you feel awake and energized, can make a room seem welcoming, but also tends to make people feel frustrated. Again, not a very good choice as the primary color in a bedroom, but works nicely in a kitchen, bathroom, or dining room.

Blue-Know for it's calming, relaxing, and serene qualities. It brings blood pressure down, and slows the heart rate. This is a wonderful color for bedrooms, bathrooms, family rooms, and living rooms. This is a tricky color to work with though to get the desired effect. Dark blues can produce feelings of sadness, while very light pastel blues can make a room feel cold. Try to work with warmer, softer tones of blue like turquoise, or periwinkle for example.

Green- Also know to be relaxing and calming, and is actually considered the most restful color for the eye. Because of this, it is a great color for any room of the house. It is refreshing and cheerful, but not a stimulant.

Purple- The darker hues are dramatic, sophisticated, rich, and produces moods of creativity.
The lighter tones are warm and restful, similar to blues.

Orange-produces feelings of excitement, energy, and enthusiasm. Not a good idea for a bedroom or a living room if you want a relaxing environment, but great for an exercise room!

Black- Adds depth, grounds the color scheme, and very versatile. Not recommended as the primary color for your walls, but great as an accent color.

White- Once again very versatile, and great as an accent color. White walls tend to make a room seem incomplete and expansive, and bring out feelings of frustration.

Tan and brown- Very neutral colors that are warm and relaxing when used in moderation. Use the darker tones in moderation as to not add a "heaviness" to the room, which evokes a depressive mood.

I am so so so so very sorry I haven't posted anything like FOREVER!!! :( I have been sick with the flu and pretty busy with pictures...( we got our pictures taken this morning) and the day has just flown by!!

Rainbow cake

Hey, this is a recipe I made at my Aunts house. It was so good I thought I would post it one here too. Here's a picture of it too. :)

1 box of cake mix

All of the things you need to make the cake

4 different flavors of Jell-O gelatin mix (I used cherry, orange, lime and berry blue.) oh yes, and whatever you do, don't use grape! lol I am not sure myself, I think maybe the flavor of maybe the color...

2 16 oz cans of frosting, make sure you do get two because I got one bigger one and it was DEFINITELY NOT enough!

butter, or whatever you use to greasing the pans (we also floured it)

Circle pans, four if you have that many or you can bake two at a time.

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cake mix following directions on cake box. Divide batter equally into 4 bowls, about 1 cup per bowl.

2. Mix 1 tablespoon Jell-O powder into each bowl, one color per bowl. stir until blended. Feel free to add a little bit more to the bowl if it's not as bright as you would like.

3.Pour batter into greased and floured round cake pans, 1 color per pan. Put the pans in the oven for 15 min. Or until the cake springs back when touched lightly in center. Cool for 5 minutes then remove from pans. When all are completely cooled, spread yellow frosting between each layers ( you can buy yellow frosting or use food coloring) Cover outside with blue frosting ( they say to put 6 drops of food coloring but I put one it it was dark enough)

And there you have it! lol hope whoever makes it, loves it! :)

Today I am going to be really busy, I have to help my mom clean and bake! I knew this was going to happen so I was prepared. But I am going to be really busy, I have to, do my chores, do school, make lunch, and probably dinner too, I have to help my siblings with school. I probably have to do more stuff to though. :)

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins

This is a recipe from one of my mom's friend, she makes these muffins a lot. if you don't like the taste of pumpkin, well to bad...just kidding! lol You don't even taste the pumpkin part.

4 eggs
2 cups sugar
16 oz pumpkin from can
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup applesauce
3 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Mix eggs, sugar, pumpkin, oil, applesauce until smooth. Mix flour, powder, soda, cinnamon, salt in a different bowl. Add slowly to wet ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips. Fill muffin cups 3/4 full.
Bake at 375, for 20 minutes.

Sorry I didn't post earlier this morning, but I had to do school. I don't really know what to say yet. I am still new at this...lol

One of my really good friends started a blog a few days ago, and that's why I got one. I never thought about blogs until she emailed me and said, "here's the link to my blog! I hope you like it!" I am so glad she got one! Now we are like blog buddies! If you go to her blog she posted something about me getting a blog, I just wanted to say Marissa, Right back at ya!
